Welcome fellas to the '1st Annual Man Trip Invitational'. Rules and regulations have been developed by our favorite moderation drinker, Marcus Hungus. PURPOSE: To establish who is the manliest drunk golfer In order to start this game, teams will need to be established. Since we will need to get to the course and back, I recommend 2 designated drivers each captaining a team of 4 players. The designated driver will carry a keg in place of his golf clubs to administer beer to his team. I, Choate Bergstrom, volunteer for one of the captain spots. The individual with the worst hangover from the night before will likely volunteer for the other captain spot. In order to create a first hole playing order, everyone will flip a quarter. The one who lands on “Heads” wins. If there is a tie then those who flipped a “Heads” will continue flipping the quarter till someone does not flip “Heads”. “Heads” always wins. COURSE RULES (Always Apply):
First Hole: Scramble…. Develop a hitting order and start swinging. The second person will hit the first person’s drive. The third person will hit the second person’s shot and so on and so forth. The person to put the ball in the hole drinks half of a 12 oz. Beer Second Hole: Best Ball….Each person will have a chance to hit a drive. The team will decide on whose drive to use for the second shot. Each person will hit a shot from the second shot position and so on and so forth. If there is water on this hole and you land in it you will need to drink a 12 oz beer and will not be able to say the word “BALL” for this hole and the next. If you say the word “BALL” during these two holes you will be forced to drink another 12oz. beer and have to walk the next hole. Third Hole: Tin Cup….Hole must be played with a “7” Iron. If you do not have a “7” Iron please belly up to the bar and have yourself one half of a 12 oz beer. Then grab your putter because you will be using this club to get yourself from tee to green. ONE SIXTH OF THE WAY THROUGH…..EVERYONE DRINK A BEER! Fourth Hole: Two-Two….Two players tee off who ever has the shortest drive drinks half of a 12oz beer, the other two players decide which ball to hit of the two drives. Each will hit a ball from that point, the person with the longest shot drinks half of a 12 oz beer, then the other two will choose which ball they want to hit from and so on and so forth till the ball is holed. Fifth Hole: Happy Gilmore…..Everyone will use a driver from Tee to Green. Once on the green a putter can be used. If you continue to use your driver and hole out, you will be immune from drinking for the next hole (even if you cheat). Anyone who uses their putter will have to drink half of their 12 oz beer. Sixth Hole: Straight Out…..Standard hole play, but the person who drives the longest drinks half of their 12 oz beer. ONE THIRD OF THE WAY THROUGH, LETS HAVE A BEER. Seventh Hole: Drunken Stupor (yet no drinking)…..Standard hole play, but if you happen to worm burn the ball you will need to finish the hole with your pitching wedge (no putter). Eighth Hole: Faint of Heart….Standard Hole play, but you will need to take four large sips of beer after each shot you take (no matter how far the ball goes) Ninth Hole: Make up….If you can stand and walk, put your ball on the tee and swing away with any club…grab a beer pick up that ball and put that ball in the hole. It will be considered a hole in one as long as you finish your beer by the time you put the ball in the hole. Otherwise, mark yourself down for a “10”. HALF WAY TO THE NINETEENTH HOLE HAVE YOURSELF A COLD ONE Tenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 9th hole Eleventh Hole: Follow the same rules as the 8th hole Twelfth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 7th hole TWO THIRDS OF THE WAY THERE HAVE ANOTHER Thirteenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 6th hole Fourteenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 5th hole Fifteenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 4th hole THREE QUARTERS OF THE WAY THERE…. YOU LOOK THIRSTY… HAVE A BEER Sixteenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 3rd hole Seventeenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 2nd hole Eighteenth Hole: Follow the same rules as the 1st hole Nineteenth Hole: Drink and Pass Out SCORING: Scores will be tallied normally. For those team events put the team score as your score. The team with the lowest total score wins. |
