Dear Friends, Countrymen, and Vandy Fans ,

This is a new experience for me and Leslie. Typically, we do these trips in the Winter. As we've discovered over the past couple of years, the Summer is actually the best time of year for Durango. Temperatures are perfect and activities are more plentiful.

This year we've lined up two main activities for our vacationing pleasure. Saturday evening, we will be listening to tunes from 'CCR' (Creedence Clearwater Revisited). It's not a cover band for the original. It's the original minus Fogerty. We've lined up some good tickets to make the experience memorable.

Sunday morning, we have a train ride setup for the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge. This train will take you through some gorgeous country on the way to Silverton, CO. Up their we'll get some good eats and cool shopping taken care of.

There is also our fascinating hottub available for all guests. And for those guys and gals who like to play the game where no one keeps score but everyone knows who wins, look at that table.

Our land backs up to the national forest. So in essence, we have 25 million acres to play on. At night, we have a couple of bars close and a couple of bars in Durango. Mrs. Drumbarton digs this bar with comfy seats and no smoke, called 'The Office'. It's cool.

For junk you need to bring, bring a bathing suit for the hottub.  A good pair of tennis shoes/hiking boots will make getting around a little easier, but is not necessary. Bring your favorite CDs, because we have a good stereo.

One more note, the 'Vandy vs. Ole Miss' game should be on at 9:30am on Saturday. I'll try to hook that up.
